Early Phase Human Trials

Making the right decisions regarding drug candidates while still early in clinical development is of paramount importance to the eventual success of any drug development program. At RBM, we have hundreds of quantitative human immunoassays that are validated to clinical laboratory standards. Data resulting from this approach can aid in evaluating the safety and efficacy effects of compounds as well as help to better understand and stratify participants in those early exploratory clinical trials.

RBM can help optimize your exploratory and early phase plans and investments. Our multiplexed immunoassay biomarker testing services are ideal for early phase studies.

Our industry-first TruCulture™ system is optimal for exploratory and early phase research. This simple blood collection and culture tube accurately measures immune activity ex-vivo. Measuring immune response to your drug prior to human trials helps to avoid adverse events and provides additional confidence to move forward in your clinical program. Many investigators have already deemed this unique tool indispensable. See how your peers are using TruCulture.

We believe in 'Casting a Wide Net' to identify biomarker patterns earlier in the development process. This method also offers significant cost savings. We call this the 'RBM Approach,' and it drives everything we do. Listen to a 3-minute podcast about the RBM Approach, given by our VP Strategic Development, Dr. Ralph McDade.

Human KidneyMAP — Unexpected drug-induced renal toxicity is a leading cause of failure in drug development programs. Investigators have been limited by biomarkers that lack the sensitivity necessary to identify damage before it becomes permanent. In cooperation with Novartis and the Predictive Safety Testing Consortium, we have developed KidneyMAP panels that provide sensitive detection and quantitation of kidney damage. RBM's Rat & Human KidneyMAP panels enable drug developers to efficiently prioritize medicinal chemistry programs and accelerate decisions on preclinical and clinical trial protocols. Many customers use HumanMAPs to quickly and efficiently discover novel biomarker patterns of interest. RBM can combine those relevant biomarker assays into a new multiplex panel for more cost-effective processing of clinical trial samples using our CustomMAP services.
