Unexpected drug-induced renal toxicity is one of the leading causes of failure in drug development programs. Researchers have been limited to the use of biomarkers that lack the sensitivity necessary to identify damage before it becomes permanent. In cooperation with Novartis, we have developed renal toxicity biomarkers in order to provide comprehensive, sensitive and quantitative rat and human kidney panels.
