Rules-Based Medicine (RBM) is an employee-owned company centered in Austin, Texas that is committed to providing quality products and services for the life sciences industry. RBM is a biomarker testing laboratory delivering reproducible, quantitative, multiplexed immunoassay data. Our testing panels, called Multi-Analyte Profiles (MAPs), measure from several to hundreds of proteins in a small sample in multiple species and sample types. MAPs provide robust biomarker patterns for drug development, diagnostic, consumer product, and environmental applications.

Clinical Trials Coordinator Position

RBM is looking for a self-motivated individual to fill a new Clinical Trials Coordinator Position. We are seeking a multi-talented research nurse with clinical trial experience in the life sciences industry. A degree in nursing is preferred. Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience.

Major responsibilities include the design and execution of clinical trials applying the RBM biomarker patterning approach to develop novel diagnostics, prognostics and theranostics. Duties will include:

  • Participate in design and implementation of clinical trials campaigns
  • Organize, coordinate, and prepare technical reports for collaborators and funding agencies
  • Provide assistance in grant and contract preparations
  • Interact with collaborative scientist to design and execute research work plans. efforts

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related science. A minimum of two years experience in research nursing or clinical trials is a must. Other skills required are strong writing and communication skills, ability to read and understand scientific literature, ability to organize and analyze data, and basic PC skills. Ability to organize and manage information is critical. Some travel will be required.

Immunoassay Development Positions

Rules-Based Medicine is developing several hundred multiplexed immunoassays to supplement our current Multi-Analyte Profile (MAP). Because of this increased effort in assay development, we are expanding our assay development department and have the following positions available:

  • Senior Research Associate Position
    MS/BS with several years of assay development experience.

  • Research Associate Positions
    MS/BS in a scientific discipline with 0-4 years of laboratory experience. Helpful experience includes immunoassay development.

  • QA Position
    MS/BS in a scientific discipline with 1-3 years in a GxP environment (GLP preferred). Experience with GxP, OECD, MHLW regulations and/or CLIA a plus. Strong organizational and problem solving skills, strict attention to detail, solid interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), and effective business judgment are also required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
